Hence, in order to figure out your contribution, you will have to deduct the cost of an RM sub from your dues payment. AESA pays Routledge $32 per year for regular subs, and $26 per year for student subs. So, if you pay dues to AESA at the sustainer rate of $300, you will be able to deduct $268 for tax purposes. The IRS requires that if you deduct a lump-sum contribution of $250 or more, you obtain an acknowledgement letter from the organization. I will be glad to send an acknowledgement letter to anyone who makes a lump-sum contribution of $250 or more.
